The Website Duplicator is built for one job: turn a live website into a set of reference assets you can keep. It is useful for a redesign pitch, a before-and-after record, an archive of a client's current site, or a quick visual audit. You give it a URL, it finds the internal pages, and you choose which ones to capture. The output is a ZIP with full-page screenshots and a manifest that lists what was captured.
The app works with pages that are publicly reachable. Password-protected or logged-in pages are not crawled. Open the app from your dashboard or the Website Duplicator page.
Step 1: Discover links
Paste the site's address into the input and start the crawl. The app scans the site and lists the internal pages it finds, so you are not typing URLs by hand. Larger sites return more links; you filter them in the next step.
Enter the URL
Use the full address, for example https://example.com. The app crawls from there.
Let it map the site
The crawl returns the internal pages it can reach, up to your plan's page limit.
Step 2: Pick the pages
From the discovered list, select only the pages worth capturing. For most client work that is the home page, a few key landing pages, and anything you plan to redesign. Keeping the selection tight makes the capture faster and the ZIP easier to hand over.
You do not need every page. Pick the ones that tell the story: the home page, the top service or product pages, and the contact page.
Step 3: Capture and export
Run the capture. The app takes a full-page screenshot of each selected page, then bundles everything into a downloadable ZIP with a manifest so you know exactly what is inside. On Pro you can also include HTML snapshots alongside the screenshots.
Capture full-page screenshots
Each selected page is captured top to bottom, not just the part above the fold.
Download the ZIP
Your export includes the screenshots and a manifest. Pro exports add HTML snapshots and drop the Code X Elite mark.
Free vs Pro
The Website Duplicator is free to use today. Here is what each plan gives you:
- Free: 5 captures per month, an 8-page crawl limit, and full-page screenshots.
- Pro, $29/month: unlimited captures, a 30-page crawl limit, HTML snapshots, and no Code X Elite branding on exports.
- Agency, $99/month: everything in Pro, plus a 50-page crawl limit, white-label exports, and API access.
If you are capturing sites for clients every week or need clean, unbranded deliverables, Pro removes the monthly cap and the CX mark. Compare plans.
Tips for clean captures
- Use the site's real home page URL, not a deep link, so the crawl starts from the top.
- Deselect duplicate or paginated pages to keep the ZIP focused.
- Re-run a capture after a client makes changes to keep a dated before-and-after record.
- Rename the ZIP with the client and date before you send it, so your files stay organised.
